We live in a generation where everyone is trying to cut expenditure, tightening the financial belt in all aspects of life – so, when it comes to insurance many people are hesitant to fork over the cash. This might be for a few reasons. Maybe it’s down to the fact that smartphones can cost up to £500, and people do not then want to part further money to insure the damn thing! Or maybe it’s because certain people think they are not clumsy and will never drop/break/have their phone stolen. Well. Here are the facts for you taken from different studies of iPhones and smartphones in recent years – they might surprise you somewhat.

FACTS

Around 20% of iPhone 4 users report accidently damaging their phone – This is a rising number. Just think of how many of your friends have a crack in their iPhone – and how many of your friends phones have still go the crack on their phone due to lack of insurance.

Over 100,000 smartphones are stolen every year.

60% of car crimes are attributable to mobile phone theft – however no other policy will insure your phone (Regular household, office or motor policies etc.). Specialist mobile phone cover will only insure your phone.

Not many people actually have insurance – Recent surveys have revealed that actually over half of people who have smartphones don’t actually own smartphone insurance. As a result of that, a third of smartphone users have to replace their phone before their contract runs out or gets upgraded. On top of that, 37% of people who have a 24 month contract had to replace their handset before the contract ended.

iPhones and smartphones are too expensive to replace without insurance – 50% of people in a certain study (who had lost their iPhone or smartphone) refused to buy a new handset due to the escalation in price and the tight economy.

Phones used to be cheaper than they are now, and still people have the mind-set of that with attitudes towards iPhone and smartphone insurance. As careful as you can be, there is always a danger something will happen to your phone whether it is dropped, stolen or malfunctions. In this economy buying a replacement would be insane, so the smarter thing would be to protect your investment of your phone with insurance – you’d do it for you laptop or iPad wouldn’t you?

In conclusion, be smart and be safe with your handset. Invest in some iPhone insurance or smartphone insurance to protect you, your phone and your pocket.

Today your business has a clear choice between as to the type of Business IT Support Service you use.

Business IT Support Companies Now Offer Traditional “Pay By The Hour” and Fixed Monthly IT Support Packages

Which Business IT Support approach is best? There is no one answer that applies to all companies – it all depends, but here are a few questions that may help you decide:

Top Reasons To Use Break-Fix Business IT Support

1. Your IT is stable– There are companies computers don’t change that often and as a result they rarely have IT Support problems. For these companies paying for aManaged Service is unnecessary.
2. No unnecessary extras – with Break-Fix nothing extra is bundled with the service.
3. No contract–You can go to any company for Business IT Support at any time.
4. Try before you commit – with Break-Fix there is no contractual commitment for your Business IT Support. You can try a service without committing to any more than a few hours work.

Top Reasons To Use A Managed Service Business IT Support Contract

1. Budget for IT support– if your IT support bill varies substantially from month to month, a Managed Service Business IT Support package will help even things out and make budgeting much easier.
2. Fix the problems– with a Managed Service your Business IT Support Company is not able to charge you more for fixing a problem again and again.
3. Faster response – when you do have a problem a Managed Service provider is likely to be more familiar with you network. As a result your Business IT Support Company will be able to fix most IT Support problems faster.
4. Less management required – IT issues can require a huge amount of your management time. The average manager doesn’t understand IT and can therefore waste a lot of unnecessary time on it

Simply targeting a broad niche is often not enough to generate a consistent amount of traffic without devoting a significant temporal and monetary investment towards SEO. Even then, most of the main niches have already become highly competitive, and are over-populated with SEO moguls and webmasters that have authoritative rankings.

So how do you compete without becoming obsolete? The key is often to target specific subsections of niches, called micro-niches, using proven video advertising services from Vidify.co.uk. An example of a micro-niche topic would be “bad credit payday loans”; this would be a micro-niche within the loans/mortgage niche. In general, catering to specific needs is what your goal should be. A window cleaning company wouldn’t want to just advertise that they are capable of cleaning windows, they would want to use more specific marketing points like “OSHA-certified window cleaners in New York.”

The best way to implement localized audience targeting is via video advertising. Vidify’s Video production corporate services are designed to fulfill the needs of enterprise level clients that need to convey effective messages to their prospective customer base. If you plan on hiring the assistance of an online PR/marketing firm to promote your video advertisements, you might as well get the most bang for your buck by making sure the digital video production process is carried out by an experienced, knowledgeable, and renowned multimedia creation firm like vidify.co.uk.

A lot of consumers act based on impulse and choose to express interest in a specific company after seeing one of their advertisements that pertains to an issue they’re currently dealing with. For example, if you needed your car fixed and stumbled across an appealing advertisement for a local mechanic with great rates, you would probably feel inclined to call for a consultation. Contracting the assistance of Vidify.co.uk can help you create the same effect by targeting the specific needs of your most valuable potential customers.

Street lighting – a necessary condition for safe and comfortable guidance in open space, when natural sources of light are no longer enough. When choosing the method of street lighting, it should be based on the destination and landscape features of the site. Organization of traffic and planning and organization of public services are executed on different circuits.

Lamps used in street lighting design for the urban environment.

Lamps used on city streets, usually perform only a utilitarian function. They have a simple construction and simple design. Roads, pedestrian areas, parks and squares are covered with the bright street lighting design on high poles. They are extremely functional, have high strength and meet the most stringent security requirements. Complement the look of the city lights building facades, monuments, fountains, lighting components for outdoor advertising and other decorative systems.

In the street lighting design of the territory of a country house where more ingenuity. In today’s market landscape lighting is presented in all its diversity: false and base lights, spotlights, built-in street lamps, decorative lamps and garlands, Ballard, dirt and traffic poles. Perfect for suburban area are classic garden lights. Made of high quality alloys, high quality and thoughtful design stand out among other luminaries; they will become full participants in the landscape design. In order to avoid the effects of glare and excessive darkening of the surrounding space, use of frosted glass ceiling light or a spherical or hemispherical shape.

Street lighting design principles

To make the site more uniform coverage, with no sharp transitions from light to shadow will use a larger number of smaller lights. Playing with tall pillars, combining lights, Ballard and built-in lighting, you can create a dynamic lighting system that could cover all levels of space – from the crowns of trees and the roofs of cottages to flowerbeds or pools. Manufacturers of street lighting are trying to cover all possible styles, offering a light country, Empire, Baroque and Art Nouveau. The collection of German and Italian factories, we can choose the desired functional lamps, suitable for even the most intricate design. The American company Fine Art Lamps offers even street lamps in the Victorian style, appropriate to the most exquisite terrace. It was in this environment forged fittings will be the best way echoes the lines of the branches and the shadows of the incident light through the leaves.

Very good fit into the landscape design the light systems, were used light sources invisible in daylight, such as in the collections of Ghidini. There is another way. Purposefully choose fixtures that are independent artistic value. It is important to remember that in this case is not only light areas closely adjacent to the house, but the design of fixtures must be compatible with the overall architectural style of the suburban area.

By combining the light sources of different shapes and designs, we can not forget the general harmony of the site. Try to avoid imbalance. Modelling the modern means of lighting an open space filled with different objects; do not miss the main thing: the light should provide comfort. And if you are comfortable in nature, so everything was done correctly.

Whenever a new piece of technology comes onto the market there are also those people who want to get hold of it right away. I am not particularly one of those people but my wife is, so by default I guess I have to be as well.

Because of this I have been getting slowly dragged into the present day since I met her. Now my rather embarrassing collection of old gadgets is starting to dwindle as they get replaced by cooler and more modern equivalents. A good example is when she showed me what a good home security system should be all about. It certainly wasn’t what I had in mind, that’s for sure.

When we moved to a new house one of the first things we had to do was fit a security alarm to it. I had a horrible image in my head of wires all over the place and bells clanging away every time the cat decided to take a wander around the garden. Fortunately, the smartest person in my house told me that wireless alarm technology was going to make my life a whole lot easier than I feared. These are the benefits which make this such a good move.

Easy to Fit

We can’t all be DIY experts and fortunately these days we don’t have to be either. Fitting a wireless alarm doesn’t involve drilling holes through walls and messing about with cables. Even if you aren’t too confident with a set of tools you can still do this pretty easily.

Flexible

The first hint I got that my wife was already looking for a new house for us was when she said that we could take the alarm system with us. Even if we end up going somewhere a lot bigger than the current property there won’t be any issues with increasing the size of the system; so that’s one more reason to start thinking about getting a mansion now.

Low Cost

To be honest, one of the first things I thought when I heard about a wireless alarm system was, “How much is that little beauty going to cost us?” It turns out that I didn’t have to worry about it at all, as they are a lot less expensive that I had thought. This is because of the DIY aspect to getting them fitted and also because they don’t need the same level of professional monitoring while they are working.

Good Looking

I can honestly say that most of the things I have done in any of my houses or fitted to them are a little bit unsightly. The good news about this kind of system is that even I couldn’t make it ugly. A smart box and no wires means that it fits in rather snugly and doesn’t attract attention to itself; it does just enough to let potential thieves know that the owner of the property is one smart cookie. Of course, they don’t need to know which one of us is the smart cookie, do they?

If you are one of the many families who own one or more laptops, you’ll know what a useful tool they can be. Our kids use theirs to research whatever they are studying at school, my wife finds new recipes to try and keeps in touch with friends and family, while I use mine to stay up to date on the news and balance my bank accounts.

My daughter recently had problems with her laptop overheating. One visit to the computer technician later and the issue was diagnosed and fixed – dust was removed from the fan, and a good wedge of cash removed from my pocket. Realising that something as simple as a build-up of dust could end up costing me a fortune, I came to the conclusion that we all need to take better care of our laptops.

As with any tool, you will find your laptops work best and last longer when they are cared for properly. The good news is, caring for and maintaining laptops isn’t difficult, and is something that everyone in the family can do. Here are my top tips for keeping your laptop in optimum condition.

ñ Before trying any of of cleaning tips that I mention here, please note that your laptops should be switched off and unplugged to prevent accidents or damage. You should also remove the laptop battery.

ñ Laptop screens tend to get dirty fairly quickly, and I find mine needs a basic clean once a week or more. I use a smooth surfaced micro-fibre cloth, which has a number of advantages over a normal duster. The first of these is that micro-fibre products are lint free, so that you won’t get little pieces of dust and dirt left over the monitor. The second is that micro-fibre cloths have been proven to clean efficiently without the need for household cleaning products, which eliminates concerns about damage to your laptops screen. What I do is dampen my micro-fibre cloth, then wring it out until it is almost dry, then give the whole laptop a quick wipe over.

ñ Another task which you should perform regularly, and as I found out, one that is essential if you want to keep your laptops in good, working order is to clean up the build-up of dust which gets caught in the fan. The easiest and least risky way for you to do this at home is to use a compressed air spray can to gently blast the dust away.

ñ A compressed air spray is also the best option when cleaning your laptop keyboard. If you have difficulties with a particular key “sticking” I have found that it is sometimes possible to remove the individual keys to clean under them. Before trying this tip, check in the manufacturer’s handbook for the model of your computer to confirm that this can be done.

ñ In addition to the outside cleaning or your laptop, you should also run maintenance programs on a regular basis, which will help prevent any problems with the system itself. Cleaning the hard-drive, defragmenting, performing virus scans and updating any software you have on the laptop will help to prevent those tricky problems before they occur.

A team of top submarine cable consultants, engineers and marine management groups are currently hard at work to install an all new, high speed, fibre optic undersea cable onto the bed of the Atlantic Sea, which is believed to boost trading and help financial traders to beat their competition; but do it at some price.

The super submarine cable is known as the Hibernian Express and production of this extraordinary new 3,741 miles (6,021km) undersea cable is already underway off the East coast of the United States.

The submarine cable project will cost an approximated £300m and is aimed at providing financial centres with a faster service and faster trading times. When completed the new marine management project will be the first submarine cable to cross the Atlantic in more than 10 years.

Undersea cable consultants claim that the new submarine cable will shave 6 milliseconds off the current leading cable provider’s time. That might not sound like a great deal of time but it is claimed that even a one millisecond advantage could be worth up to £63m ($100m) a year to the bottom line of a large hedge fund; which makes the production of this all new undersea line, very significant.

A new route has been plotted for the new submarine cable, shorter than its competitors. It will attempt to follow the path taken by flights from London to New York and marine management experts believe it could cut the distance by 310 miles (498km). This, in turn, could cut execution times by about 8%.

Once in operation the company responsible for the all new undersea cable could charge as much as 50 times more than their competitors for use of the line.
